Introducing the Growth Page — See How Your Portfolio Stacks Up Against the Market

We have recently released a new page in EasyPortfolio: Growth

It answers the question every investor asks: “Am I actually beating the market — or would I have been better off buying an index fund?”

The Growth page brings four powerful charts into one unified view, giving you a complete picture of your portfolio’s performance over time.

What You’ll Find on the Growth Page

1. Portfolio Value vs Benchmark

The headline chart. Your portfolio’s value plotted alongside a “What-If” benchmark line — showing what your money would be worth today if you had invested in the S&P 500 (or any of 30+ indices and ETFs with Premium).

Every time you made a buy or sell, the benchmark simulation mirrors that same cash flow into the index. It’s the fairest comparison possible.

2. Portfolio Performance Metrics

A snapshot of your key numbers for any time period: total profit, return percentage, Time-Weighted Return (TWR), maximum drawdown, best day, and worst day. When you select a benchmark, you’ll also see your alpha — how much you’re outperforming (or underperforming) the market.

3. Dynamics of Portfolio Returns

A bar chart that breaks your returns into bite-sized periods — daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Green bars for gains, red bars for losses. At a glance, you can see your winning and losing streaks, and track whether your performance is improving over time.

4. Holdings Performance

A horizontal bar chart ranking every holding in your portfolio by total return percentage. The best performers sit at the top, the worst at the bottom. Hover over any bar to see the full breakdown: profit, capital gain, and fees paid.

Where to Find It

Open your portfolio and look for Growth in the top navigation bar — it sits between “Analytics” and “Dividends”. The page loads instantly with your latest data, and benchmark prices are synced daily after market close.
